Started in 1994, Hanahan is located 5 minutes’ walk from Kōtōdai Kōen Station on the Sendai Subway Nanboku Line. Hanahan’s ethos is that the basis of Japanese cuisine lies in local and home cooking, with the common thread of delicious flavor running through all levels of the genre regardless of rank, be it high class gourmet fare or cheaper, basic food. Hanahan believes that it is essential to have the customer enjoy his or her food and drink to the utmost. At Hanahan, this enjoyment can be found in the flavors of Sendai and the northern Tōhoku area of Japan, which will be prepared with the greatest care and thought for each individual customer and each individual occasion. Hanahan’s menu encompasses a la carte items and full set courses, all using the excellent produce that can only be found in the Sendai area, from freshly caught seafood to produce from the mountains nearby. In addition to meals in the restaurant, Hanahan also prepares bentō lunchbox selections that can be delivered to the venue of your choice.
