About the Association
Message from the President
The Miyagi Food Service Hygiene Association was originally founded in 1907 as the Miyagi Prefectural Culinary Association. In 1971, we officially reorganized under the Act on the Optimization and Promotion of Management of Life-Related Businesses and adopted our current name.
As a professional association, we support and connect restaurant and food service business owners across Miyagi Prefecture. Today, we have 17 registered members and operate under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, as part of a nationwide network.
To enhance communication with both our members and the broader community, we have revamped our website to provide a more accessible platform for sharing updates and information.
Beyond this, we are actively engaged in initiatives to expand customer reach and improve business operations. This includes:
- Multilingual menu support for inbound tourism
- Halal & vegan-friendly dining options
- Financial assistance through low-interest loans
- Reducing credit card transaction fees for members
By fostering cooperation and sharing knowledge, we strive to elevate the restaurant industry and preserve Miyagi’s rich culinary heritage.
We deeply appreciate your continued support and look forward to growing together.
Shinichi Endo
President
Miyagi Food Service Hygiene Association
